About the event
THANK YOU!!!! Our amazing community has come together and we now have enough Drive-A-Santa volunteers. At this time, we are searching for a few more Santas.
Hello to all past and new volunteers!
The VCA Santas brighten the season for so many children every year. This does not happen without the volunteers who give so generously of their time and talent. Each year, we are so grateful to the volunteers who take time out of their very busy schedules to continue this Valhalla tradition.
To keep this growing tradition alive WE NEED the help of volunteers like you to spread the holiday cheer to other neighborhood families! Please consider how you may give back to the community during this holiday season! THANK YOU to those who have already committed to volunteering for this special night, however we need additional help!
How can you help? And what's involved?
Friday Dec 16th from 5 - 9pm (two shifts 5-7pm & 7-9pm)
- Please indicate what shift when signing up.
- Time Commitment: As little as 1 hr or as much as 4 hr
- Age: 21+
- Food and beverages will be served to volunteers at the LVC Paddle Hut (exact time TBD). We will dress Santas there and give house assignments.
**If you would prefer to be dressed in your own home: your Santa suit, house assignments, and ornaments for the children can be dropped to your home ahead of time and picked up the following day.
1) BE SANTA
Santa suits will be provided by the VCA - you may want to wear shorts, as it can get warm under the suit. A white or red tee shirt is good, but mostly hidden anyway. Bringing a pillow for a Santa belly is helpful. We have some pillows, but if you have one to bring that is great. A tape measure is a fun prop. If the house has a fireplace, Santa can measure it to make sure he can fit down on Christmas eve. Black shoes or boots are preferred - we have covers to go over shoes.
2) DRIVE-A-SANTA
Be an elf/reindeer buddy driver for Santa and have a fun unforgettable night!
If you have little ones, we will have a Santa come on your alternate shift. Please help give these local children an unforgettable night by helping with these special visits! This is meant to be FUN for all!!
